Cutting up sound recordings into smaller pieces and then reassembling them is a technique that has been around for a long time in contemporary music. Nevertheless, I still find it an interesting technique, and I recently wanted to try it out with Flash Player's new sound API.
I prepared three tracks, one with guitar, and one with bass. The application randomly picks out some parts from each track and makes three one-second loops that are played simultaneously, and which are updated in a certain chance when they come to an end.
I also added a simple visualizer that changes its color when the loops are updated.
